Yuta Yamakita

Yuta Yamakita is a Liaison Manager at Woven Capital, where he helps build strategic relationships between Woven Capital’s portfolio companies and Toyota. He plays a key role in fostering collaboration that supports shared growth, technological advancement, and alignment with Toyota’s long-term innovation priorities. Yuta brings deep expertise in materials research and development, carbon neutrality strategies, and global partnership building.

Previously, Yuta served as a Technical Advisor at the Toyota Research Institute, contributing to initiatives in material discovery, the digital transformation of battery manufacturing, and carbon neutrality. In this role, he helped establish strategic partnerships that enabled Toyota to access new opportunities, capabilities, and insights by strengthening ties with the broader global Toyota network.

Yuta started his career at Toyota Motor Corporation, where he contributed to the development of lithium-ion battery materials and gained hands-on experience in manufacturing process innovation. He later applied AI to accelerate the discovery of electronic component materials and improve quality prediction. Yuta also contributed to a project called FUNVE, which blended augmented reality and mobility. Through the Toyota Technical Association, he helped design AR experiences and develop business concepts under the theme “Fun to Drive for Kids.”

Yuta holds a Master’s degree in Science, specializing in Genetic Engineering, from Osaka University.
