
Christopher Heiser
Founder in Residence
Christopher Heiser is a Founder in Residence at Woven Capital and is helping Toyota build strategic relationships with companies at the forefront of technology and innovation. He is a serial founder and CEO with multiple successful exits. He advises across a wide range of sectors, including AI, automotive, consumer products, robotics, social networks, and space.
Christopher was most recently the Vice President and Head of Special Projects for Woven by Toyota, managing a global team based in Tokyo, Japan. Prior to this, he was the CEO and co-founder of Renovo, an automotive technology company that created the first automotive OS, the first American EV supercar, and the first AI-driven automotive data platform. Renovo was acquired by Toyota in 2021.
Prior to this, Christopher built the first social media networks for mobile phones at LightSurf in Santa Cruz, CA. LightSurf was purchased by VeriSign where he served as the global GM for Mobile Applications. Earlier in his career, he was part of the design team at IDEO under David Kelley. At Carnegie Mellon University, Christopher worked on autonomous vehicles and exoplanet rovers while founding his first company, which was successfully acquired before graduating.
Christopher is a motorsport enthusiast who has lapped the Nürburgring hundreds of times, held the unofficial EV lap record at Laguna Seca, and competed in Formula E with Team Mahindra.
